Principles and application scenarios of ELISA
Principle:
ELISA is a commonly used analytical biochemistry assay. The assay uses a solid-phase type of enzyme immunoassay (EIA) to detect the presence of a ligand (commonly a protein) in a liquid sample using antibodies directed against the protein to be measured. ELISA has been used as a diagnostic tool in medicine, plant pathology, and biotechnology, as well as a quality control check in various industries.
ELISA application areas:
Clinical Laboratory Departments, Blood Transfusion Departments; Specialized Laboratories; Centers for Disease Control and Centers, Health Supervision Institute, Blood Centers, Blood Stations; Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Epidemic Centres; Biological Products Enterprises and other units; Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency; Scientific Research Institutions, College laboratories.
ELISA complete process:
Adding sample → incubating → washing microplate → adding enzyme label → incubating → washing microplate → adding substrate → incubate → adding termination liquid → reading (Four core steps: adding sample, incubating, washing microplate, reading)
